Meet the Team
Jamie is a freelance theatre producer, supported by the Stage One bursary. His production credits include Michael Rosen's one-man show Getting Through It (Touring), Roger McGough's Musicals The Sound Collector and Money-Go-Round (touring), and the plays Life With Oscar (Arcola), Sabbath (OSO Arts Centre) and Happy Hour (Upstairs at the Gatehouse).
He has formerly held venue programming positions at the OSO Arts Centre and ADC Theatre, and his experience knowing how difficult it is to get new writing staged has inspired him to create the Play Lottery.
As a playwright, his work has been nominated for and won a few awards, and lost even more.

Producer and Creator – Jamie Rycroft
Director – Joey Burford
Joey is a director and dramaturg who makes work that tries to embrace the complexity and messiness that comes with being a person in the 21st century. Originally from Melbourne, Australia she moved to Glasgow to complete a Master’s in Theatre Studies focusing on intersectional approaches to historical texts (she’s particularly nerdy about women in Shakespeare). She’s worked extensively in directorial and dramaturgical roles across independent theatre in Melbourne, including the stage adaptation of Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five, a revival of Tennessee Williams’ Summer and Smoke and an all-female production of Julius Caesar which toured to Edinburgh Fringe. Ultimately, Joey’s pretty concerned about the current state of the world and really hopes theatre can help fix it.
